In July 2024, the annual Frankfurt Summer School for Early Modern History, supported by the POLY Research Group, took place on the Westend Campus of the Goethe University. Under the title “Religion postkolonial?”, participants explored the intersections between postcolonial theory and Christian and Jewish religious history between 1500 and 1800. H-Soz-Kult has published a report on the event, written by Arndt Wille and Andreas Häckermann. If you are interested in reading more, you can access it here (in German).
Before the summer school, the Goethe University Frankfurt journal had a piece on what the organisers, Birgit Emich, Michael Leemann and Xenia von Tippelskirch, were hoping to achieve. The article, written by Louise Zbiranski, can be downloaded here (in German).
