Iryna Klymenko (PhD in History 2018, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich) was a POLY Fellow in the Winter Term 2020/21, during which time she worked on two closely related book projects: the first investigated the cultural histories of abstinence and fasting in the ethnically diverse and multi-confessional cities of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (1540–1648); the second focused on early modern Jewish body practices and administrative self-regulation in multi-confessional Polish-Lithuanian cities.

In the Winter Term 2025/26, she returned to POLY as a Writing Fellow and member of the Writing Group "(Re-) Ordering Time." During the group's meetings at Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften Bad Homburg in January and June 2026, she developed a contribution as part of the group’s chapter for the first of three volumes of POLY's forthcoming book project, Doing Christianity: A Praxeological Guide to Polycentricity and Plurality of Premodern Christianities.
